The Final One

I am only 29, yes 29, and I just had my 4th back surgery. Chalk it up to crappy genetics but it happens. Trust me, it could be worse. At times I want to feel sorry for myself and then I think about how lucky I am with all the other things in my life.

I swore to my mother and then David the other day that this would be the last back surgery I would ever have. Each time I forget how painful they are because our bodies heal so fast. In just a few weeks I will be 75% recovered and feel wonderful and in 6 weeks I will be 100% recovered. Each day is better than the last but it still is hard on me...not just me, but my family and the people who have so kindly offered to help us until I can take care of things by myself.

I can't drive for a while. Very hard thing not to do, especially when I live in the country. David has done a fantastic job and is exhausted. He is truly the hardest working man I know, he does landscaping and yard maintanence and doesn't have to. He is an amazing man. No suit and tie for this man, he likes being outside.

Starting Monday I will begin working from home a few hours each day and that will help keep myself occupied until I can get back to our regular routine.

Oh, on June 1 we start our huge kitchen remodel. I am totally excited. I can't wait to show y'all the pictures when it is all complete.

So sorry you're having to go through this again...I hope you're feeling better and better each day. I'll pray for a quick and full recovery for you. Sounds like you have lots to look forward to though with the kitchen remodel - hope all goes well and can't wait to see pics! Take care :)
P.S. Ethan got to see Weston last week at my mom's...I'm sure they had a great time together!
