My Birthday Weekend...

...was spent at the only place I can call Heaven on Earth, the Devil's River. We rough it down there, truly. I don't need a house or running water (except that of the river). Bathing in the crisp water is the most amazing experience. I feel sorry for so many people that have never experienced this place.
We brought along our best friends, TJ and Pam Thorp, for the most amazingly fun weekend. Here are some pictures from our trip.

The cactus was blooming and it was GORGEOUS!!!
The octillo was amazing. What a unique plant!

The most precious cactus flower on the smaller cactus growing in the crack of a rock.

A lamb taking a peek at me.

The port...and our kayaks. Mine is the pink one.

Civilization, or the closest thing to it, since there is electricity for us while camping.

Sleeping Beauty naps while Pam and I jam out to our music.

A view of the river.

The rush of water at Three Tiers Falls.

The monsterous house across the river. Yes, this is someone's house and he flies in on a jet. He should be jealous of our place though, we are truly experiencing the beauty of the Devil's River.
***On another note, I won't be blogging for a little while but I will update y'all on all of that after I am done***

Weston Turned 3!!!!

We celebrated Weston's 3rd birthday on March 27th with a John Deere themed party. He was so excited that I think all of Sonora knew about it.
I still can't believe that my little baby is growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday we were bringing him home from the hospital. Time flies and I am trying to cherish each moment.
He had the cutest tractor cake made by Jennifer Ricks in Sonora. She is so amazing! We also had a sheet cake made that looked like a plowed field.

Fortunately we live at the ranch and the Fisher's have a tractor SO....we had tractor rides for all the kids. HUGE SUCCESS!!!!!!! They loved it and it was cheap entertainment.

Below is Weston, Gage Owens, and Jake Malsbury taking the first ride with David at the wheel.

Next was Reilly Wardlaw, Ben Blackbird and Joe Ivan Abrego.

Weston loved to hear everyone sing Happy Birthday!!!!!!!!

On April 1 we had his 3 year check up and it went great, especially since he didn't need any shots. Weston was expecting a 'check up' like it was some kind of object and it was hard to get him to understand that the doctor was just going to look at him to make sure he was fine. Weston kept telling me "I am not sick." It is funny how their mind's work. He rarely gets sick and when he does we just go to Dr. Pajestka's office in town for the regular antibiotics. Weston was still worried and eyeballed everything that Dr. Wehner did throughout the 'check up.'
He has grown like a weed.
2 year stats
28 pounds, 35 1/2 inches tall
3 year stats
32.5 pounds (75th percantile) , 39 inches tall (80th percantile)
We are currently on track to be well over 6 feet tall if we growing at this pace.
