Big Boy Bed

Well, we have managed to raise a mini-Macgyver. He was climbing in and out of his bed like it was nothing. Weston would climb out, throw toys in and then climb back in to play during nap time. Well, we decided he was ready for his big boy bed. He was kind of freaked out by the change in his room. He walked in and looked around for his crib but he transitioned well. We still have to paint, finish decorating and get his 'official' bedding on the bed. It is on back order from Pottery Barn. Thanks to my parents for the furniture and David's for the bedding. They are the best grandparents.
Getting tucked into his new bed for the first time.

Now, we didn't leave Madalyn out. My parents purchased her a new bedroom set and she received this great horse bedding for Christmas. We still have to paint and decorate some more in her room. She was really excited to have her new stuff.

Daddy-Daughter Date Nite

The Sonora Chamber of Commerce puts on an annual Daddy-Daughter Date Nite.
This year Madalyn and David attended.
I was able to snap a few pictures of them before they left for the dance.
Weston and I hung out at home eating Oreo's and milk in bed. Yummmm!

Valentine's Day

Well, with kids your Valentine's celebration is never as romantic as you would like. Despite minimal romance it was still one of the best because had my family.
We dined on filets, baked potatoes and asparagus.
Above you will see the wonderful chocolate covered strawberries I made.

David bought me a dozen red roses.
I was totally surprised because David is not one to buy me flowers.

You can tell Weston LOVED them.

Reading and Writing

Well, time flies. I remember giving birth to Madalyn many years ago. I could not have imagined the wonderful things she would accomplish in such a short amount of time.
Madalyn is reading and writing sentences. Mrs. Wade says she is excellent. She reads really well and likes it. She must get that from me. David does not like to read books.
We are so proud of our little girl. I can't wait to see what else is in store for us.

Madalyn's Christmas Party

What fun it is to be a parent...these are the moments that I hope I remember forever. This is Madalyn's first Christmas Party and she had fun. Mrs. Wade is a wonderful teacher and Madalyn loves going to school each day...really, she begs.

Belated Christmas Pictures

Weston loved wearing this Santa hat. His head was a little too big for it.

Madalyn with her new bike from Santa. She is too afraid to learn how to ride it.

Weston loves his new fridge magnets.

Look what Aunt Tammy got him. A tool set. He loves to work on things.

Helping Grandfather cut the turkey. Looks like Weston is the official taste tester.

Fling Ding 2009

Well, we had our childish fun again this year. Yes, David has a beard and yes, I like it.
Rarely do we get a picture together while looking nice. Here it is.

Danielle and Cara getting ready.

TJ getting super handsome.

Me, Pam , Cara and Danielle pigging out before Fling Ding.
We had a great time but again this year I ended up with the flu the following week.
