Pee Pee AGAIN

Yeah, Weston made pee pee in the potty again tonight. We are so happy. Again, not assuming a habit but this time he made himself go pee pee. He would rather use our potty than the potty that we purchased...either one is fine as long as he goes.

Christmas in Granbury

It is our family tradition that our kids wake up at home on Christmas morning. This year was not any different for them. We awoke at home on Christmas morning, then we went to Gran and Grandfather's house to open gifts and eat lunch with them. After we did that, we traveled to Granbury for Christmas dinner with my family. We arrived about 5:30 p.m. and ate a delicious dinner with my Mom and Dad, Danielle, Russell, Averi and my Grandpa. It was great.

Madalyn made her first cake in her Easy Bake oven.

Weston looks like such a cutie in PaPa's glasses.

With 2 girl cousins he has to spend a little time dressing up...FYI, he loves playing with dolls too, but not as much as he loves all the new tools he got this year.

Our Musical Genius

As most people know Madalyn has been playing the piano since she was about 3 years old. She started at day care in San Antonio for 10 minutes once per week. She learned to play by color and did pretty well. When we moved to Sonora, just before her 5th birthday, she started lessons with Mr. Leroy Moore once a week for 30 minutes and learned the actual notes. This photo was taken at her piano recital on December 14, 2008. She played We Three Kings and Up On The Housetop, both very well I might add.
She is an amazing little girl and we are so proud she truly enjoys this hobby (especially since she doesn't seem to be athletic and very clumsy). Both she and Weston seem to have a true love for music. Weston even sits down at the piano and pushes the keys...he doesn't bang on them, he pushes them tenderly and is happy to make music.
My question is...where does they get this from?

Ho No Santa Claus

Lets just say Mr. and Mrs. Claus are not Weston's favorite people. We just couldn't help but snap the photo anyway. Weston is usually very friendly with men that he meets but I guess the white beard was just a little too much for him this time.

Pee Pee in the Potty

Well, the boy doesn't talk much but he is sure on his way to being a big boy. He has shown interest in the potty recently so we went ahead and set up his new potty chair for him. Occassionally he asks to have a seat but nothing happens. We are just happy he knows what it is for at this point. BUT, yesterday while staying at Gran and Grandfathers house he asked to use the potty and he really went pee pee. I am sure this isn't the start of a regular routine but we are glad he understands what he needs to do on it.

Weston sure does love our Christmas tree. I knew he would be too curious and boy was I right. Every chance he gets he rearranging our ornaments. He loves to pose and take pictures in front of the tree as well. What a cutie!!!!

Madalyn is Reading

I can't believe that we are nearing our first semester of kindergarten. Madalyn has grown so much in her academics. I can't believe how much she has learned this year thanks to Mrs. Wade. She came home with her first book for her to read today. She did so well reading it to us. I like that she has to read to us and it will only get better.

I still can't believe how blessed David and I are. Our 2 beautiful children make the world complete.
